"Rifle inspection and drill. Our Artilliary had some practise in the morning and our aeroplanes were up giving ranges.
Between the hours of 7 and 9 o'clock at night there was three liners and one Troop Ship that went up the Canal. The Troop Ship was full of Australians.
One of our aeroplanes went out into the desert, it was out scouting, and did not return at night."
