These are the diary entries of Private Peter Jack (1044) of the Lanarkshire Yeomanry, B Squadron. A native of Blackridge. It follows his experiences during the First World War campaign on the Gallipoli Peninsula and later in Egypt, as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force.

"Our artilliary and boats played on the Turks position and inflicted a very heavy casualty list for the Turk. We had three killed and six wounded"
