These are the diary entries of Private Peter Jack (1044) of the Lanarkshire Yeomanry, B Squadron. A native of Blackridge. It follows his experiences during the First World War campaign on the Gallipoli Peninsula and later in Egypt, as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force.

Sailing Again, 7th October 1915
“We sailed out of port on the 7th of October. The sister ship of the Arcadian came into Malta on the 6th, and went out that same night. She was taking troops to Egypt”
