Greece. 1st to 4th January 1916

Peter and the rest of the Khaki Boys were taken from Gallipoli by boat, the "Red Breast", to Mudros Bay where after a four mile hike they reached camp.

"On the 1st we had a walk through one of the Greek villages which is called Port(e) Anna and saw curious sights. On the 2nd we had rain through the night and we got the tent flooded out in the morning. 3rd January it was very hot and on the 4th we got paid £1 and raided the canteen at Port(e) Anna."
