Breakfast and Fire, 12th October 1915

"In the morning when I awoke up from my peaceful slumber I thought I was on my lonesome. But I got a fright when I put my head up and saw nothing but Khaki boys running here and there; all busy making their breakfast and I can tell I was not long in following suit and making my own"

"We got very heavy fire on the 12th, but there was no damage done except three mules killed. At night there was very heavy rifle firing going on both sides"
