Beginnings. 26th to 27th September 1915, Cupar to Devon Port.

"The Lanarkshire and Ayrshire and the Royal Army Medical Core left Cupar for Active Service. We left Cupar Station at 20 minutes past 12 o'clock. Our first stop was Edinburgh, got water there for engine. We were 20 hours in train from Cupar to Devon Port. That was our destination, that was the 27th September 1915.

The next thing we did was to get to the Port and embark onto the boat. The boat which we sailed in was the Arcadian, it left port on the 27th September 1915 about 5 o'clock at night for Gallipoli."
